Dr. Abdullahi Idris is a seasoned executive and public affairs strategist with over three decades of meritorious service to Nigeria, both within and beyond the public sector. Known for his resilience, goal-oriented leadership, and mastery of human and material resource management, he has led transformative initiatives in executive management, public administration, and strategic communication.
Before retiring in 2023 as Executive Director of Business Development at the Downstream Directorate of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Dr. Idris played a pivotal role in shaping national policy and corporate strategy. His expertise spans human resource development, stakeholder engagement, crisis communication, and international diplomacy.
A distinguished Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Idris is recognized both locally and internationally for his contributions to governance, youth empowerment, and poverty alleviation. He currently serves as the Director General of the Arewa Cohesion for Peace, Unity and Development Initiative, a platform dedicated to addressing socio-economic challenges in Northern Nigeria and beyond.
