Colonel (Rtd.) Abiodun Joseph Oluwadare is a distinguished military officer and strategic thinker whose career spans over three decades in the Nigerian Army and academia. A graduate of the 26th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy, he retired as an Infantry Colonel and transitioned into academic leadership, where he continues to shape national discourse on defense, governance, and security.

He holds a Ph.D. in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos, along with advanced degrees in Peace Studies, International Relations, and Political Science. His academic journey reflects a deep commitment to resolving complex security challenges across Africa through research, policy development, and education.

Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Col. Oluwadare also leads as Dean and Head of Department. His previous roles include Acting Dean and Pioneer Head of Department at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), where he played a key role in curriculum innovation and institutional growth.

A prolific researcher, he has authored widely cited publications on terrorism, conflict resolution, regional security, and strategic governance.
